| Notes |
- According to Helsby: A Yorkshire branch came from John Rutter, a younger son of Kingsley, who had married a Conyers of New Malton (also connected with Rutters through the Nevills and others). St. Michael's church, New Malton has many Rutter tombs.
An earlier branch settled in Kirkby, Cleveland circa Henry VIII. William Rutter in 1565 mentions his three sons Thomas, Robert & John.
