| Will of Samuel GIBSON of Wetherden 13 Feb 1720 In the name of God, amen. I Samuel Gibson of Wetherden in the COunty of Suffolk *** [gent?] hereby revoking all former wills and testaments by me heretofore made do make and ordain this my last will and testament *** as remaining that wordly Estate wherewith it hath pleased Almighty God to bless me withall I dispose thereof as followeth. First from and immediately after my decease I give and devise all of my copyhold or customary hold messuage or tenement Lands Meadows pastures and other the premises with the appurtenances situate lying and being in Haughley and Newton in the said County of Suffolk called or known by the name of Old Bells and three areas of freehold lands lying in Barton in the said County of Suffolk unto Mary Harrison the now wife of James Harrison and Sarah Baker the now wife of William Baker both of Wethereden aforesaid my daughters. To hold to them the said Mary Harrison and Sarah Baker and their heirs forever upon condition that they the said Mary Harrison and Sarah Baker my daughters shall well and truly pay or cause to be paid unto Mary Gibson my beloved wife their mother or to her assigns during the term of her natural life the sum of twenty pounds per annum [thar?] of all parliamentary charges and other charges whatsoever quarterly at the four most usual feasts or days of payment in the year that is to say upon the five and twentieth day of March four and twentieth day of June nine and twentieth day of September and five and twentieth day of December in every year by even and equal proportions the first payment thereof to begin and be made upon the first quarter day after my decease all which payments to be made at or in the south porch of the parish church of Wetherden aforesaid. But if default be made in payment of the said twenty pounds *** or any part thereof upon either of the said days of payment to Mary my said wife or to her asssigns It shall and may be lawful to and for the said Mary Gibson my wife and her assigns into the lands and tenements above mentioned to enter and to hold and enjoy the same and every part thereof until she be fully satisfied and paid all such payments or sums of miney as shall be behind and unpaid at the days and place for payment thereof with all such costs as she shall be at for recovery of the same. Item I give and bequeath all my personal Estate Goods Cattle and Chattels whatsoever and wheresoever they be for the payment of my debts funeral charges and probate of this my will. And I do nominate and appoint the said Mary Gibson my wife the said James Harrison and the said William Baker Executrix and Executors of this my last will and testament. In witness whereof I the said Samuel Gibson have to this my last will and Testament set my hand and seal this thirteenth day of February Anno Domini One thousand seven hundred and twenty Samuel Gibson signed sealed published and declared by the testator to be his last will and Testament in the presence of us Isaac Iarkson[?] junior William Sulyard. ---------- PROBATE granted 8th January[?] 1726 to James Harrison and William Baker. | ||
